I’m not sure a transnational organization like the WEF is concerned with the average person’s well being, quite the opposite in fact, and am rather surprised and disconcerted you would put forward such a claim Dr. Powell.
I suppose most technology theoretically benefits the average person assuming access and distribution are equitable, and it is regarding the latter that transnational elites have had a suspect track record. Anyway the good professor’s posts are always informative and he himself highlighted distribution in his article.
I would agree if we are indeed talking just the transnational elites. But this is primarily China, or atleast that is how I see it. And China now has a 20+ year record of helping countries in the Global south create wealth, not just for a few but for a nation.
Yes, “in an ideal world.” Yet we have only one world, only one chance to keep it survivable, yet a multitude of ways to diminish all prospects for a livable future. The recent Putin/Xi conference on building a new security architecture for the world was a great start, working toward “an ideal world” in which all cooperate for the betterment of all, without any nation interfering in the affairs of others. Repairing this bigger picture helps enable all these other goals of the List.
